We live in a world today where risks are proliferating: from natural disasters to geopolitics to new technologies. Every business is exposed and insurance protects the least fortunate. Meanwhile, finance teams have grown leaner and insurance has become one of the slowest moving pieces of their jobs.
At Komodo, we provide a new option for insurance buyers to transact directly—without waiting for call backs from brokers, and getting direct, consistent responses from our platform at your convenience. We meet you where you are.

Our values
Human ingenuity is our greatest asset
We are in the camp that believes human ingenuity to be the most abundant and underutilized resource in the world, and it rarely survives arbitrary mandates, misaligned incentives or imposed fears. Komodo as an organization encourages creativity, taking initiatives and experimentations (yes, they are allowed to fail!)
When in doubt, be honest
We understand telling the truth can be uncomfortable or inconvenient at times, but we choose to be honest. Insurance is bought on trust, and trust is earned over time. We tell our customers, partners, team members, investors and everyone else (who need to know) what we know and what we don't yet know.
Substance over form
We are not the loudest voice in the room, because we would rather spend time going deep and embracing complexity. At Komodo, we understand both content and packaging take time, and we prefer to invest our resources on the substance - at least internally.
There is room for everyone
We are here to offer companies a better, or at least additional, choice to buy insurance. We don't discriminate based on ideology or views; as long as we have the right insurance products for you, our door is open. Similarly, we pride ourselves on having assembled a worldclass team that naturally is diverse, and continue to assemble our village to be inclusive and welcoming.
